Meet our founder, Mariam!

Mariam Obas is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of TheraSpeech, Inc. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University and is licensed in the state of Florida. Mariam is also a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Originally from Montreal, Canada, Mariam is fluent in English, French, and Creole, and proudly offers therapy services in all three languages. Her multicultural background fuels her passion for bilingualism and second language acquisition, areas she loves exploring both professionally and personally.

​

Beyond her work, Mariam enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and embracing life as a mother of three. Her compassion, expertise, and hands-on approach are at the heart of Theraspeech’s mission to help every child communicate with confidence.

Michelle Hogan, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Michelle is a Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University. Michelle has a Florida License and is a member for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is originally from Virginia. Michelle has a background in education and she continues to teach drama at a local private school. She enjoys working with all children with communication disorders. Michelle has a special interest for disfluency (stuttering), phonological disorders and autism spectrum disorder. She enjoys creating new material and sharing ideas with the rest of the team. Michelle spends her free time with her husband and daughter. 

Stacy Cendejas, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech-Langauge Pathologist

Stacy is originally from Fort Pierce. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors and University of Central Florida with a Masters. She is certified in the LIPs program and NOW foundations program. Stacy has a special interest for speech sound disorders. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Job Opportunities/Internships

HIRING SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST/SPEECH THERAPY ASSISTANT

The candidate must be comfortable working with children from birth to 21 with various diagnoses related to communication disorders and feeding challenges. The therapist must demonstrate skills in planning and structuring session activities based on the care plan and the child’s developmental level. Responsibilities include speech, language, and feeding assessments. The candidate will work in a team setting with other therapists, pediatricians, and specialists to ensure that the patient reaches his/her goals. Supervision and training are available at all times.
